Detached Screen Porch

This screen porch design was challenging as there was no easy place to attach it to the home.  As with many screen porch additions, the loss of natural light and views from the interior of the home is often a compromise. The client liked the idea of having a detached space that was separated from the house.  This solution created a more intimate gathering space with no compromise necessary.  The finished design also included a large deck for gathering and an easy transition to the back yard.
